Buffalo River Outfitters Canoes and Cabins on the Buffalo River in the Arkansas Ozarks

Established in 1986, Buffalo River Outfitters was founded to serve river goers with quality equipment and expert services. We provide canoes, kayaks, rafts and shuttle service for floating the Buffalo National River. We can outfit one day or multiple day float trips. On your way through, check out our outstanding outfitting store/souvenir shop. The expertly trained staff on the phone, behind the counter and on the gravel bar will help you make the best of your time at the Buffalo National River.

Buffalo River Outfitters stands as a headquarters for current river levels and flow information. We can suggest the best trips for the season and conditions. Ask us about what there is to do nearby – hiking, swimming, horseback riding, sightseeing and more! Our location is perfect for the avid antique shopper and enthusiastic explorer of tiny towns. We even have an amazing drive-in movie theater and some one-of-a-kind restaurants just ten minutes or less from our Buffalo River Cabins.

We maintain eleven beautiful log cabins, tucked away just minutes from the river. These cabins are fully equipped, tastefully decorated, recently updated, and perfectly located. Buffalo River Outfitter’s clean and cozy lodging is unmatched in the area. We are able to easily accommodate large groups or provide hideouts for intimate getaways. Ten of our eleven cabins have high speed internet and smart tvs, meaning you can escape the city bustle but still have the ease of Netflix or news at any time. What’s not to like? Flannel and fireplaces, bonfires and starry skies, the Ozark Mountains and the Buffalo National River. All combinations not to be missed.

*We will not put any children 3 and under out in our boats.

Scenery on the Buffalo

What makes the Buffalo River stand apart from the rest? Not to mention the beautiful Ozark Mountain setting of the river itself, the history of the Buffalo makes it even more extraordinary. Established as the First National River by an Act of Congress in March of 1972, The Buffalo National River is 135 miles of un-dammed and free flowing waters managed by the National Park Service. In short, there are unlimited adventures to be had, places to camp, and sights to see right here in the Heart of Buffalo River Country.

If you are not quite sure what you need for your trip to the Buffalo, feel free to speak with our friendly and knowledgeable staff. We will make sure you have everything covered before you embark on your Buffalo National River journey. We are here to make sure your Ozarks adventure is a memorable one to cherish for a lifetime!
