Dining

Our little neck of the woods provides plenty of opportunity for good food and great atmospheres. After a day on the river, appetites loom large. Or maybe you want to start your day by enjoying a huge, delicious cinnamon roll. Here’s a list of dining options close to Buffalo River Outfitters' location to grab a bite or sit down to a hot meal and relive the day’s adventures.

Ferguson's Restaurant

This large log-cabin building right on Highway 65 can't be missed. Known for down-home hospitality and their warm, gooey cinnamon rolls, Ferguson’s Restaurant is a great choice for large or small groups looking to sit down and enjoy traditional country cooking. The huge building also houses a charming gift shop and furniture store. The best thing about Ferguson’s location is that it’s right on your way out of Gilbert, so it’s perfectly located for after-river winding down.

Coursey’s Smoked Meats

This smokehouse-style deli is locally famous for their delicious smoked meat sandwiches and delectable bacon. The small, shack-style location is inviting and friendly and a great place to grab picnic basket fillings before you head to the river.

Big Springs BBQ

This charming restaurant is a community favorite. They have a full menu of great dining options for any barbecue lover and offer a variety of sliced deli meat to-go. The restaurant also doubles as a small gift shop/boutique. The environment here is warm, welcoming and distinctly southern. You’ll feel right at home and filled to the brim with good food and good conversation.
